Absolutely not. Our electric mountain bikes do the hard work for you. The e-assist means you can tackle climbs that would defeat a fit cyclist on a regular bike. Our guides set the pace to the slowest rider, so no one gets left behind. We’ve had guests in their 60s, guests with minor injuries, and complete beginners complete the full tour with massive smiles. If you can ride a regular bicycle, you can do this tour.

Ourika Valley is approximately 35km south of Marrakech — roughly a 45-minute drive through the Haouz Plain. We include private return transfers in all packages, so you don’t need to worry about transport. We pick you up directly from your hotel or riad in the medina. 

Yes — the minimum age is 14 years , and teenagers typically love the e-bike experience. We have smaller e-bike frames available for younger riders. For families with children under 14, please contact us directly — we can often arrange custom family routes or alternative pacing. The Ourika Valley excursion is genuinely one of the best family outdoor activities near Marrakech. 

Wear comfortable athletic clothing and closed-toe shoes (trainers are perfect). Bring sunscreen, sunglasses, and a light jacket — mornings in the valley can be cool even in summer. A small daypack for your camera, phone, and water bottle is ideal. We provide helmets, gloves, and basic protective gear. No cycling shorts required — half our guests ride in jeans. 

The guided ride lasts approximately 2.5 to 3 hours, with stops to enjoy the scenery and take photos.
